Viewing and Managing Pictures

You can store and view pictures for contacts, family partners, and houses. You can view these pictures from the Contacts, Family Partners, and Property Addresses screens, respectively.

The picture window

Clicking the Pictures button on the Contacts, Family Partners, and Property Addresses screens opens the picture window for the record you are currently viewing. Either the name of the contact or family partner, or the house address, will appear in the title bar of the picture window. The default picture for that person or property is displayed along with an Available Pictures drop-down list, from which you can view any other picture stored for that record.

If instead the button says No Pictures, then no pictures are currently stored for that person or property.

The first picture you see will be the file named MainPicture.jpg in that person or property's documents folder. If there are multiple pictures in that folder, you can view them via the Available Pictures drop-down list. The number of additional pictures appears in parentheses above this list.

Keystone will always show whichever picture has the file name MainPicture.jpg first. Choose whichever file you want to appear as the default and rename the file, if necessary.

Some cameras include the date the picture is taken as part of the picture file. If this date is available, it will appear here as the Picture Taken date. If not, you'll instead see the File Created date, which often is the same as the date the picture was taken.

You can also include additional information about each picture. Click the Modify Notes button to add or edit this information. These notes will appear below that picture each time you open it in the future. You can use this for information like the names and ages of children in the picture.

The @ symbol in the bottom right-hand corner of the window indicates that this window allows for Custom Screen Positioning.
