Summary Tab
The Summary tab on the Fundraising Activities screen contains several fields for recording and tracking fundraising progress.
- The Type field displays the type of activity associated with the Fundraising Activity (FRA) selected in the Fundraising Activity Selection pane. The following are the default types provided by Keystone. You may add your own to Keystone as needed. See the Development Tab section under Affiliate Setup for more information.
Campaign allows you to define a campaign goal and the measurement of progress as donations are recorded.
Covenant Partner allows you to record individual or organization payments toward a house sponsorship. Reports generated using this type show the progress of all covenant partners.
Grant allows you to record a grant application. The Due Date field becomes visible below the Type field when Type is set to Grant. Use this for recording the deadline for submitting the grant proposal. This field is not visible for other FRA types.
Club Pledge allows you to define the FRA as a Club Pledge. You can then view goals and pledge totals for that Club Pledge. This also allows you to produce reports on the Reports screen written specifically for any FRAs you define as Club Pledges.
Periodic Pledge allows you to define the FRA as a Periodic Pledge. You can then view goals and pledge totals for that Periodic Pledge. This also allows you to produce reports on the Reports screen written specifically for any FRAs you define as Periodic Pledges.
Other Pledge allows you to use an FRA to record individual or covenant partner non-periodic pledges (meaning neither a Club Pledge nor a Periodic Pledge) and view contributions received toward the pledge.
Other allows you to record donations to some activity other than Campaigns, Grants, or Pledges. For example, if someone is getting married and suggests that instead of wedding gifts people give donations to your affiliate, an FRA could be created to summarize the donations that were made as a result.
Undefined simply means the FRA was not defined using any type.
The Undefined, Grant, Club Pledge, and Periodic Pledge types are used by Keystone and therefore cannot be modified or deleted.
- The Value field in the Goal area allows you to specify the amount projected or pledged as part of the FRA. This field can be set to 0 if there is no specific goal.
- The Current Actual pane summarizes donations received to date that are associated with the FRA. This summary is provided for total cash gifts, the total value of in-kind gifts, and the overall total.
- The Total field in the Balance area displays the amount remaining to achieve the FRA goal. Once the goal is reached or exceeded, the value displayed is $0.00.
Status information appears on the right side of the Summary tab.
- The Active check box indicates that the FRA is active. Uncheck this box either when the campaign ends or the grant request is answered. By default, the Fundraising Activities screen displays only active FRAs.
Check the Show All check box to display both active and inactive FRAs on the Fundraising Activities screen.
- The Posted check box indicates that contributions for this FRA have been posted to a Covenant Partner and the house being sponsored. As needed, use the Post button to the right of this check box to post contributions to the selected FRA (see below). See the Recording and Posting Covenant Partner Contributions section for more information.
- The Notes field allows you to enter comments about the campaign or related activity. Click here for more information on how to use Notes and memo fields.
Clicking the Post button opens the Post Current Actual to Covenant Partner window.
