Keystone 6.0 Is Here! Keystone 6.0 includes nearly 100 new features and improvements implemented as the direct result of feedback from affiliates across the country. More than ever, Keystone is truly software by affiliates, for affiliates. This release is a major step forward for Keystone, and we are excited about not only its new and improved features but also with how these changes open up countless opportunities for future growth. Build a Better File Cabinet – Have you ever thought something like, "It would be great if I could go straight from this family's Keystone record to see their mortgage documents or the plat drawing for their lot?" Good news! With Keystone's new Document Management feature, you can store any number of documents for contacts, family partners, donors, homeowners, and even properties, and open them directly from Keystone. A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words – Have you ever prepared to meet with new homeowners and wished you could find pictures of them? Do you know what all your board members and committee chairs look like? Have you ever stared at a house record in Keystone and thought something like, "Is this that blue house or the yellow one next door?" Keystone 6.0 helps you store photos of contacts, family partners, donors, homeowners, board members, staff, volunteers, and properties too – all within your database and available with just a click of a button. Your Keystone records gain another layer of important information as well as a personal touch. Stay Well-Informed – While past versions of Keystone have had hundreds of ready-made reports and the ability to export data to generate many more, accessing information in ways not covered by those reports created some limits. With Keystone 6.0, we're setting all that free. We've created a feature called Data Collections to allow you to assemble a full range of data from the various parts of Keystone, combine them with the power of Microsoft Excel, and explore them in just about any way you can imagine. You can use Data Collections to create a nearly endless variety of reports, charts and graphs, merge data, and more. If we haven't built a way yet for you to gather and analyze the information you're looking for, we're now offering some powerful tools to help you get the information you want. Go Back in History – We know how important and complex homeowners' mortgage payment histories can be, especially in these challenging economic times. Keystone 6.0 now shows two years of mortgage payment status on the Mortgage/Payment Information screen, both in summary and detail form. Delinquency measurements have been changed from principal-only to principal plus escrow. This will make both the current and prior 24 months of family partners' payment history more understandable and traceable. Pledge to Do More – You work hard to build relationships with your donors, so now, when they increase their recurring pledges, Keystone 6.0 will allow you to update the amount of their pledge quickly and easily, without having to create a new pledge. And in the unfortunate event that pledge payments don't come in, Keystone will now allow you to track the lost value of pledges. This makes reviewing and maintaining your pledges easier so you can focus more on targeting these critical donors. More Than Houses – You have volunteers and families doing all kinds of great things for your affiliate beyond building houses. Keystone 6.0 now lets you define 'non-house' work sites and then schedule and record hours for families and volunteers and all the work they do. This means that, for example, in addition to construction on a house, you can record hours separately for building at the warehouse or landscaping at the affiliate office. You can coordinate and see specifically all the time and talents people are giving to your affiliate. Want to see exactly what makes up a particular family's sweat equity and where they did it? Now you can. Have It Your Way – Multiple users can now not only share Keystone on the same computer, they can each set Keystone up the way they want without affecting anyone else. And because everyone is sharing the same program, you'll only have to update Keystone once to update everyone on that computer. Now Something for Every Office – Keystone 6.0 now supports Word and Excel templates for Microsoft Office 2007. Of course, Office 2003 templates remain supported as well. Combined with Keystone's new Data Collections feature, your templates are now more versatile than ever. And it almost grows on trees. Keystone 6.0 is a free upgrade for every affiliate whose Keystone annual support license is current at the time of its release.
