Documents Tab

The Documents tab contains the Document Management Folder field. This field tells you the name of the folder in which documents related to this contact are or will be stored.

The following describes how the document folders are named by Keystone:

Other combinations will not have a document folder.

If the background of this field is blue, it means the folder exists and has the name shown in the field. If the background of the field is yellow, it means the folder does not exist yet.

If you wish to open the document folder (background of field must be blue) for this record in Windows, click the Open button.

If you wish to create a document folder for this record (background of field is yellow) using the default name shown in the field, click the Update button.

If you changed a contact's name in their record, you will need to update the name of their document folder. Simply click the Update button and Keystone will automatically correct the folder name.

Do not change the names of the folders using Windows. Only modify them within Keystone.

For additional information, see the Managing Documents and Pictures in Keystone or the About Document and Picture Files and Folders sections.
