Printing Reports
Sending reports to your printer
There are two ways to send reports to your printer.
- Click the Print button on the Reports screen to print the report directly to your computer's default printer using its default print options.
The report is prepared using the report options you have chosen and is sent directly to your default printer. All pages of the report will be printed.
- Click the Preview button to view the report on the screen, then click Print in the Keystone ribbon.
Your computer's print dialog window will open allowing you to choose a printer, set print options such as paper tray and color preferences, or print only part of the viewed report by setting a page range.
Saving reports as PDFs
You can also save reports as PDF files if you wish to store them digitally rather than on paper or e-mail the PDF report from Keystone using Microsoft Outlook.
- Click the Preview button in the report you want to run.
A preview of the report appears on your screen.
- To save the report to a file, click PDF or XPS in the Keystone ribbon. In the Publish as PDF or XPS window that appears, choose the name you want to give the file and where you want to save it.
XPS is a less commonly used Microsoft file format for sharing documents. Since most everyone already has the software needed to view PDFs - such as Adobe Reader - saving your reports as PDF will ensure greater compatibility.
- To e-mail the PDF report to someone, click Email PDF in the Keystone ribbon. This opens Microsoft Outlook and attaches the report to an e-mail message.
