History

In May 2004, Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) formed the National Habitrak Advisory Group to oversee the development of Habitrak, an information management software package for HFH affiliates. When HFHI terminated Habitrak development in July 2005, the Advisory Group sought to have Habitrak transferred to a nonprofit corporation they were working to form to ensure that Habitrak and future information management tools would continue to be supported and improved.

This new nonprofit corporation would be owned and operated by Habitat for Humanity (HFH) affiliates. It would be a co-op organization where revenues from products and services would be used to provide additional information management tools to help affiliates achieve their mission.

On May 12, 2006, the transition of Habitrak from HFHI to this new nonprofit organization was finalized. The former Advisory Group became the Board of Directors for a new nonprofit organization called MoreThanData, Inc., which you will often see abbreviated as MTD. The Board is comprised of representatives from several affiliates from around the country. You can learn more about them on the Board of Directors page.

As a result of this transition, Habitrak was renamed to 'Keystone'. MoreThanData will fully support all currently-licensed users of Keystone and other MTD software. All technical support for Keystone is provided by MoreThanData. For more information refer to our About Support Licenses page.

Current Status and Future Goals

What was to be called Habitrak Version 5 prior to HFHI's decision to halt its development became a MoreThanData product called Keystone after the transition. Keystone 5.0 officially became available at the end of 2006 and was sent to all currently-licensed users. MoreThanData has also released KeyCredit, a credit reporting utility for your homeowners' mortgages. You can read more about it on our KeyCredit page.

However, MoreThanData isn't stopping there. We currently also offer a program for calculating mortgage discounting. We have exciting plans in the works for Keystone, KeyCredit, an upgraded import utility (to be named KeyImport), and our mortgage discounting utility. Of course, we also provide technical support for each of our currently-licensed users. We will continue to improve each program in the future as part of the MoreThanData family of products.
